It took me a while to understand where I was, but I was fascinated by the web of lives packed into that place. Life often pushes us into situations we wouldn’t choose, nudging us out of comfort and teaching us more than we expect. For many of us, that shift comes through travelling far from what feels familiar.
In a shared space like a hostel, you feel how stories meet, overlap for a moment, or quietly separate again. What makes these places special is how different people and ideas flow together. Every interaction, brief or meaningful, adds something to how we see the world and ourselves. Everyone leaves a mark, shaping the atmosphere in ways that build on each other.
It becomes more than a place. It grows into something alive, shaped by everyone who arrives and everyone who moves on.
This project recognises the beauty and complexity of living alongside others, the small flashes of connection, the importance of solitude, and the quiet resilience that comes from diversity. It reminds us that even in our differences, we remain part of the same intricate tapestry of life.
